TRIBUTE TO A GREAT UNCLE As many would have profound memories of Rtd Gp Capt Amanyeiwe, to no exception lies the family of Late Gp Capt Okafor. My heart was filled with sorrow upon hearing the news, but as the saying goes “another cycle of life has completed, sad yes but with Sanctifying Grace”. Uncle Amans was a man with an unending faith in God, a devoted Catholic where my most notable memories from the times I visited him was “come noon, we would recite Angelus Domini”. My word to the family: If one day you want to see him again, don’t look anywhere. Search in your heart, for there you can find him, feel him, be with him and embrace him for all we have to hold onto are the happy memories that we all shared with him. Time may pass and fade away but memories of Uncle Amans will always stay, through us they live on and the genuine kindness he showed will always shine through. All our thoughts and prayers are for his family to experience heavenly strength and peace to bear the loss. Uncle Amans can only be physically gone but his legacy lives. May God grant you eternal rest dear Uncle, and let perpetual light shine upon you, May your soul and the souls of all the faithful departed, through the mercy of God, rest in peace. Amen.
