UNCLE AMANS: LOVING FATHER TO SO MANY I convey my profound sadness and condolences to the entire Amanyeiwe family on the passing of our dearly cherished Uncle Amans as we fondly called him. Personally, l received the news of Uncle's passing with a juxtaposition of emotions, sad for the loss of a great charismatic man and a renowned officer who impacted significantly in his career, and at the same time, happy and satisfied for the close family bond shared and enjoyed by our two families over several years up till today. We were more or less extensions of each other’s families as though related by blood. Ugo, Dumebi, Oyin and late Awele have always been so much part of our lives and are like siblings. I recall with so much affection, the fatherly role Uncle Amans played in our family's life over the years, seeing to our welfare, providing guidance and just always being there for us as the amazing man he always was, more so following the passing of our own dear Dad. He and Aunty embraced us fully into their fold and he was always so compassionate, affectionate and so loving, living out by example the true Christian virtues he so cherished and upheld. We are greatly comforted by the fact that Uncle Amans is now rejoicing in the presence of our creator with the Angels and his dear friends, our departed parents. Uncle Amans, you were so well loved by all of us and your great legacies will live forever in our hearts and memories. You will be sorely missed here on this side. May your kind and precious soul continue to rest in perfect peace in the bosom of our Lord, and may light perpetual shine upon you and on all the souls of our dear faithfully departed ones. Amen! Ebitomo Anthony Tobi
